How to Analyse a Source
This works best if it is used for history things but can still be used effectively for other topics.
Step One:
Classify weather the source is primary or secondary.
Primary: a primary source is a source that was made or written when the event that it shows or talks about was taking place or it was written by someone who was alive during an the event and is talking about there experiences.
Secondary: a secondary source is made after an event by someone who did not witness the event for example, a historian righting about the events of WWI.
Step Two:
State what kind of source it is, the main kinds of sources are:
A Newspaper
A Letter
A Patent
